Amnesia

This is a review of the Escape Room “Amnesia” offered by Neverland 2 in Athens, Greece.

There are rooms that surprise the player with their surface, countless passages or special effects as if from outer space…

Amnesia has none of this, and yet it is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The gameplay has its strong points. You feel the growing tension, you suspect what might happen next, but still the way it happens is phenomenal. The strongest point of this game is of course the acting. I have never seen a better role played, an actor who gets so into the character. The things he did were at the same time scary, astonishing, but also moving. Big applause for him for the talent and charisma he has.

I can safely say that for a horror game, Amnesia has good puzzles. They are not easy, there are enough of them, they are also interesting and above all they fit the medical atmosphere of the room very well. It is not easy to focus on them when you do not know if you are safe. 👀

The gameplay space, as I mentioned earlier, is not large. But it is so adapted to the game that it makes a lot of fun . I am impressed that someone was able to do something like that on such a small area, for me it would be unimaginable and I would not believe it until I saw it with my own eyes.

The play of light and especially the soundtrack should also be praised. It added adrenaline and a lot of emotions to the whole thing. During the game you can get tired, you will not stand in one point for long.

An interesting fact is that Amnesia is a re-edition of one of the first horror games in Athens, where a live actor appeared for the first time. The whole concept has been preserved, but the decorations and puzzles have been improved, and the acting has been raised to the level of today’s top games.

Additionally, if you want more excitement, you can ask for a hardcore version, where there is a lot of physical contact. Personally, I highly recommend it and I encourage you to take a change of T-shirts and expect “souvenirs” after the mission is over! Don’t forget to visit Amnesia (what a pun)!

My name is Kuba, although you may know me by my nickname: Wesall. I am a lover of escape rooms and a beginner vocalist. My passion for escapes was born in 2018. To this day I regularly play in Poland (where I come from) and in the rest of the world. I love horror the most and I am a fan of stronger sensations, so Athens is the perfect place for me. I have visited almost 800 different escape rooms and I create songs about some of them.
