The Asylum was the first escape room that differed a lot from the rest I’ve played before. Because of its size, acting and the level of production.
Puzzles
The puzzles aren’t difficult. They’re interesting and well-suited to a mental hospital. Several require player cooperation, some require a good memory, and others require some kind of… sacrifice.
Story
It wasn’t complicated. The game follows its story well but doesn’t pay much attention to it, which is completely ok becasue we have more important incentives there.
Acting
The character in the game had a very nice costume and his overall look was impressive. His behavior was a little bit creepy for us. It was my first game with that kind of actor so back then I was scared. Now I don’t classify The Asylum as the scary game, especially when you choose an option without actor. But I highly recommend to choose the one with acting.
Decor
Very realistic, big space, accuracy in details. I felt like in a real mental hospital. Exit19 does a lot to make their rooms look like the actual space you could find yourself in.
