The story of Camino a la Logia Negra takes us deep into a dark, mysterious world that immediately recalls the surreal atmosphere of David Lynch’s cult film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992). As in Lynch’s work, an FBI agent vanishes under strange circumstances – no signs of struggle, no trace of abduction. His colleague takes over the case and soon finds himself caught in a vortex of surreal events and unexplainable phenomena.

Our mission as special investigators is to take over the disappearance case of Agent Desmond. Just before we begin, we receive an urgent and cryptic message from a colleague – fragmented, puzzling, and alarming. It leads us to a secret meeting point where our investigation begins. The start of Camino a la Logia Negra is wild and unconventional. Without revealing too much, the acting was so convincing that we at times wondered whether it was truly a performance or if we had somehow ended up in the wrong place.

The story is dark, investigative, and subtly unsettling. What struck me most, though, was the extraordinary craftsmanship of its setting. Every piece of furniture, every altar and puzzle box, is filled with hidden mechanisms, secret compartments, symbolic artifacts, and intricate details that evoke an almost ritualistic atmosphere. Everything feels meticulously handcrafted and perfectly in tune with the narrative. I imagine the creator must be a carpenter or restorer – someone with an exceptionally refined touch. As someone who rents out puzzle boxes myself, I would love to have such a masterpiece in my own collection, though the countless hours it must have taken to build surely make it priceless. Not a single modern padlock appears in this game – each one is a genuine antique treasure.

Later on our escape trip, we played Reliquias de Judy at The Works of Madness in Alicante and discovered more of the same creator’s boxes. This time they were slightly less intricate, but the maker’s signature was unmistakable.

The ending of Camino a la Logia Negra felt somewhat abrupt (there wasn’t even a team photo – just this selfie), but in a strange way, it fit the overall bizarre experience. In the end, I enjoyed it, though I can see why opinions might differ. After all, it reached number 297 in the latest TERPECA rankings, so it naturally had to be part of our playlist. It’s by no means an easy mission – the four of us went about fifteen minutes over the time limit. A bit of luck also comes into play, depending on how quickly you spot certain items or uncover hidden mechanisms. On top of that, the lighting isn’t always on your side, making some discoveries even trickier.
