Cursed Doll Universe
The Cursed Doll Universe was one of the highlights of our last trip to Athens. The room, only bookable in English upon request, had an air of mystery since we hadn’t heard much about it beforehand. We entered with almost zero expectations—and were absolutely blown away.
We tackled the challenge as a team of two, which significantly heightened the intensity. Having fewer people to lean on during the room’s terrifying moments made every scare feel incredibly personal and immediate.
The start of the game had a very cool and clever way to put your belongings away. After this we met sister Charlotte who showed us the entrance to our lovely home for the next time…
One of the standout aspects was how perfectly the actors utilized the space. They could appear from nearly anywhere, especially edges and corners we hadn’t even considered. The room featured a lot of jump scares, but they were delivered with incredible precision and variety. Each scare felt purposeful, perfectly timed, and never repetitive. For me, the lighting effects and scare timing were some of the best I’ve ever experienced, consistently maintaining a high level of suspense and dread. Yes, I screamed—a lot—but it was the best kind of terrifying fun.
Afterwards, we learned that Cursed Doll Universe is considered one of the most intense escape rooms in Athens in terms of Jump Scares —and it’s easy to see why. Its relentless fear factor, use of space, and a combination of puzzles, storytelling, and cinematics make this a wonderful experience. The transitions between scenes were smooth, and the visual storytelling elevated the room’s horror elements.
The game is designed for a team of 4-6, but if you are experienced players it is no problem to play with a smaller group at the price of 4 players.
If you’re ready to face a room that will leave you breathless and screaming, Cursed Doll Universe is an absolute must-play. Bring someone you trust to share the terror—just be prepared for an incredibly intense and thrilling ride!
