I don’t really like horror rooms, usually give them a wide berth and politely decline. Often they are just dingy rooms with a low-budget ambiance. Not so in Horror House: The catacombs under Sofia have seen and experienced many stories.

When you descend to the entrance, you feel this with every step. People experienced really bad things here in the post-war period and Horror House makes good use of this atmosphere. A secret laboratory is said to be hiding here, in which experiments on humans were carried out in the past, and strange beings have been observed here for some time.

Only the bravest venture into the dark tunnel system and dare to get to the bottom of what is happening.

The focus is clearly not on the puzzles but on the experience. Only those who can trust and rely on their friends will be able to face their fears and learn their limits with a good rush of adrenaline.

Horror House is a unique and immersive experience with excellent actors in almost perfectly realistic costumes that will make you ask “Is it real after all?”

It all started in 2017 when I was looking for an alternative program for Florence for my graduating class: In addition to the many cultural visits, the teenagers also wanted to experience something action-packed and adventurous and that's how I came across Fox in a box. The description on the internet sounded really cool and so I booked a few slots for my class. One of my students was afraid to play, so I jumped in and enjoyed game. The only stupid thing was that my inner circle of friends couldn't be won over by this passion - but my godchild's wife was. She was already connected to the scene via social media and immediately she received a request from Heiner to take us part in an escape tournament. So the story started and right noe I celebrated my 500th Escake.
