My favourite thing about writing this specific review, is that I only write the text, and not give the star rating, in Heiner’s weird 6 star system.

Because unlike most rooms, that I usually know how to rank, I’m extremely conflicted about Midwich College.

On the one hand, this is a great room. The introduction is great, the scenery is beautiful, and in the first instinct, this room has the potential to be at the top of the list.
On the other hand, something in my personal experience felt… off.

A combination of music that was too loud, darkness that was slightly too excessive, and some scare “tactic” which mainly made me feel angry from the first 5 minutes, created a subjective experience that wasn’t great.
The contrast of the two halves of the experience honestly does confuse me, since as I’ve said at the beginning – the game has some extremely positive aspects to it, leaving me extremely uncertain of my opinion. After leaving the venue, I knew I had to calm down before being able to look at it with a clear mind.

I will also add a warning – it may be derived from the source material, but some aspect of the story is… triggery. Some point of the plot did actually make me audibly say “what the f*ck”, quite shocked.

So to sum it up, this room is… confusing? At some point Heiner will demand that we will rank our rooms for his website, and I have absolutely no idea where this room will appear in my rankings – it can be literally anywhere.
