The 80s produced incredible and unforgettable works in the world of cinema: Back to the Future, E.T., The Neverending Story, The Karate Kid, and much more, which still enjoy cult status today. And it wasn’t just the films of that era that shaped pop culture, but also arcade games as templates for cinema blockbusters.

Imagine if a cinema could transport you back to that time by not just watching these movies, but by experiencing them and becoming a part of them. This was probably precisely the intention of Monsieur Tryppolyte de la Trappe, and—damn it—he succeeded.

Anyone familiar with the most legendary movies of the 80s will find a reference or puzzle related to a film in every corner of the room, instantly immersing themselves in their very own childhood memories: The child in you will truly be awakened. The puzzles are created with incredible creativity and occasionally encourage you to dare to do something that seems impossible. Mr. Tryppolite’s Cinema is a successful tribute to the 80s and a must-play for enthusiasts who value nostalgia.

It all started in 2017 when I was looking for an alternative program for Florence for my graduating class: In addition to the many cultural visits, the teenagers also wanted to experience something action-packed and adventurous and that's how I came across Fox in a box. The description on the internet sounded really cool and so I booked a few slots for my class. One of my students was afraid to play, so I jumped in and enjoyed game. The only stupid thing was that my inner circle of friends couldn't be won over by this passion - but my godchild's wife was. She was already connected to the scene via social media and immediately she received a request from Heiner to take us part in an escape tournament. So the story started and right noe I celebrated my 500th Escake.
