You live in Poland, where the main focus of escape rooms is puzzles, so you don’t expect that somewhere there is a room that focuses on something else. Before I started visiting rooms abroad, I managed to get to Paranoia, a room that pushed the Polish market in a certain direction (and I hope that more rooms of this type will be created).

From the very beginning of the game, the player feels the tension caused by the game master’s instructions and the specific mechanics that must be followed. Paranoia is one of the largest Polish escape rooms (there is no larger one at the moment), where at times you can slightly lose track of your location. Puzzles are an addition there, so if you are a fan of difficult, complex, spectacular riddles, this room is not for you.

The same applies to people who love beautiful and rich decorations. Paranoia is characterized by budget execution, where you can see the raw nature of the place where the story happens. There are no falling walls and beautifully finished props, but there is a brutal collision with a seemingly abandoned building. The actor plays a large and significant role inside the room. I can’t say too much about him, but he is the quintessence of the game and thanks to him you can sometimes get a little scared, sometimes even moved, because the story develops in quite unexpected ways.

As a whole, Paranoia is one of the best experiences in Poland, characterized by a unique approach to the game, a huge space and a good plot. I think it could be at the top of the rankings if it were more refined from the visual and puzzle side.

My name is Kuba, although you may know me by my nickname: Wesall. I am a lover of escape rooms and a beginner vocalist. My passion for escapes was born in 2018. To this day I regularly play in Poland (where I come from) and in the rest of the world. I love horror the most and I am a fan of stronger sensations, so Athens is the perfect place for me. I have visited almost 800 different escape rooms and I create songs about some of them.
