Trapped in a prison, but we know there’s a way out. We only need to work together, so grab a spoon and let’s get digging.
Prison Break is the quintessential escape game: you’re trapped in a room and need to break out. I’m pleased this rendition of the classic prison scenario requires team work. Split in two, our team required back-and-forth communication between the cells to solve the puzzles.
I enjoyed the thematic appropriate puzzles, focusing on physical environmental puzzles that lead to escape. I was on the bunk, crawling under the bunk, and rattling the bars with a chained cup. Thankfully, the comfy bunk mattress softened the ground work.
We hit one bump later in the game. It was one of those moments where we understood a puzzle, but were missing the key to solve it. Let’s say this was a lesson that you should always double-check what your teammates have done, and explains why experienced escapers feel the need to rifle through every pocket they encounter.
There were a few safety issues that need to be addressed by maintenance: namely broken shelves and exposed nails.
Prison Break was an easy and fun room. It’s a good implementation of the classic escape theme.
