Psycho Killer offers a brilliant mix of fun, fear, laughs, hiding, and plenty of “what the hell just happened?” moments. The story-driven opening is different, and I’d definitely recommend knowing the background beforehand, as i believe it would have been helpful to the experience.
The game throws a lot at you, and while that ambition is impressive, it can occasionally feel a little confusing in terms of what you, the team, or even the game itself is trying to achieve. That said, it never stopped me from enjoying myself — if anything, the chaos adds to the ride.
The actors and the set are the real highlights. Role play is absolutely key here, and leaning into it makes the experience far more rewarding. I really enjoyed playing a role in this game.
Make sure you listen carefully to what you’re told; we didn’t always, and it landed us in trouble more than once. Puzzle-wise, there aren’t lots, but there are a handful that fit the experience well.
The set itself is vast and impressive, with around 400 square metres of playground to explore. Moving through different areas — often while not alone — adds a constant sense of tension and immersion throughout.
