Our experience with Sinister at Lockbusters was that the movie came to life and it turned out to be one of the most intense horror escape rooms we’ve played on our trip. We had watched the movie beforehand, and we highly recommend doing so to better understand the storyline.

From the moment we entered, the ambiance was spot-on, and the jump scares were incredibly varied — never repetitive, which kept us on edge throughout. A particularly cool aspect was the room separation, which added a unique element of suspense and teamwork.

This was also one of the best “guided by light” rooms we’ve encountered. You always knew where to go, thanks to the clever lighting design that ensured you were never lost or confused.

One more highlight was an unexpected, surprising effect that totally caught us off guard—something we didn’t expect but added even more excitement! The puzzles were relatively easy, but this allowed us to focus more on the atmosphere, cinematics, and horror elements, which were definitely the stars of the show.

Even after playing so many horror-themed rooms, Sinister genuinely scared us multiple times and had us screaming more than we anticipated. We played as a team of two and would recommend sticking to 2 or 3 players to keep the immersion and intensity high.

If you’re into horror and love a good thrill, this is a must-play experience!
