Introduction
Our journey into The Oracle began the moment we stepped into Berengaria Escape Room’s stylish hotel-themed lobby. With its classy decor, welcoming gamemaster, and even the option to order a drink before the game, the experience immediately felt a notch above.

Story & Emotion
The game kicked off with a dramatic, immersive intro. While I appreciated the story and mysterious character involvement, it’s clear this narrative can be easily missed—one reason why the room is being split into two future experiences. Still, we were glad to catch the full experience.

Set & Atmosphere
It’s easy to believe Berengaria’s claim that The Oracle is the largest escape room in the Nordics. The spacious layout, theatrical lighting and sounds created an immersive world. The attention to detail was lovely—from sound design that gave me chills, to unexpected elements that made the space feel alive. Despite one element malfunctioning during our session, the overall set design stood out as one of the most polished on our trip through Sweden.

Puzzles & Teamwork
The game alternates between dense puzzle-solving and search-heavy sequences, demanding both cerebral and observational skills. Tackling it as a team of three (well below the recommended number of 5) made this especially challenging. The sheer volume of puzzles and search heavy tasks felt overwhelming at times. While we enjoyed the tasks and found them well-designed, it was clear the game was intended for a larger group.

Final Thoughts
The Oracle was one of the most immersive experiences we played on this trip. Its grand scale, layered design, and the audio sequences left a lasting impression. The decision to split the room into two future experiences makes sense given its current density—but also makes us feel lucky to have played it in its original form. If you’re in Gothenburg before the full experience closes on September 21st, don’t miss your chance to experience this cinematic journey.
