“The Sculptor,” we had no idea we were in for such gem of an escape room. Since it’s a brand-new experience, we arrived without high expectations, though we had a feeling something special awaited us.
From the moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the immersive atmosphere, quality and the originality of the game. Greeted by our professor at the entrance, we were instantly drawn into the mystery as journalism students heading to investigate the strange disappearances on Route 66.
After arriving at Route 66, the set design immediately captivated us. At first, we felt pretty safe, but that quickly changed at the moment “The Sculptor” made his terrifying first appearance. The room is massive, with multiple immersive scenes that truly bring the Sculptor’s dark story to life.
Despite the medium-high level of horror, there are calmer moments that allow you to focus on the puzzles, which are not overly difficult, like in many horror escape rooms in Athens. At no point the puzzles feel out of place; instead, they perfectly complement the unfolding plot, keeping you engaged and immersed in both the story and the atmosphere.
Overall, “The Sculptor” masterfully combines immersive storytelling, atmospheric tension, a wonderful set design and amazing cinematics. We left feeling exhilarated and can’t recommend it highly enough.
