The Six

This is Hype Esc’s second room. The first one was “Oz”, that was sold to another company and moved away to another city, leaving room to build Hollywood 117 in its place.

The Six is not a typical escape room, it has a game show style format, where you cannot (theoretically) solve all the puzzles in the given time, but rather try to get as many points as possible in the given time. Making it one of the only rooms in Israel with a timer.

You get points for solving puzzles and completing tasks, but there are also many hidden bonus points for hard core fans who know how to recreate iconic moments from the show.

The Six is not recommended to people who are not fans of the show. However, since “Friends” is the most watched American sitcom in Israel, it has been one of the most successful rooms in Israel, as Friends fans can’t stop raving about the room, screaming happily in the room for every little reference, and telling everyone who loves Friends they must go there.

I must confess that I only started watching Friends when it became clear that we were going to play a room on this topic in Israel. That’s why I wasn’t much help when it came to a short, quiz-like section of the game that really asked for detailed knowledge in order to gain some bonus points. Luckily, we had Jonas and Mathias, who turned out to be real insiders and could really shine here. I like the series and I enjoyed the game with its many fun tasks.
