For those of you who have played La Peluquería, you will easily recognize that the same creative mind is behind this game, as it features many of the elements that made La Peluquería such a success: fun acting, humor, clever and creative riddles, a great set, an original theme, and even some action.

This time, we are helping another iconic figure of the 80s – Mr. Miyagi – on a very important mission that immerses us in Japanese culture. It’s great how every single riddle and task is connected to it, and how, despite the overall humorous tone of the game, it also incorporates an optional educational element.

Without giving anything away, I was pleasantly surprised by the English version of one of the riddles, which is based on typical (and nowadays perhaps slightly politically incorrect) jokes. It made me laugh, but at the same time, I admired how they managed to translate something that would normally be almost impossible to adapt.

It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip, and based on its ratings on 10escapes and the ranked playlist, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this room among the finalists or winners in the next TERPECA.

Miyagi-san, dōmo arigatō gozaimasu for your teachings and the fun!
