Escape Quest in Macclesfield has a very special game concept! At the heart of the now five unique storylines, which are called Chapelgate Mysteries and which rotate in a cycle of around three months, is an alley with many shops – Chapel Street. The scenarios take place in an elaborate set at different time periods, and the players use a time machine to travel through time to solve a mystery or complete a specific mission.

Our journey takes us back to the year 1553, where we are supposed to help young Terry Titterton get his parents’ glorious toffee business up and running again. To do this, we have to repair the old toffee machine and find out how to use it.

As with all Chapelgate Mysteries, there is a specific goal to be achieved. In our case, this was to make at least 6 boxes of toffees. Once you have achieved this, the mission is complete, but the game is not over. The time detectives can use the remaining time to solve more puzzles and produce even more toffee boxes. The maximum number of boxes possible remains a secret. In this case, instead of the number of toffees, the team photo simply says Classified.

At Titterton’s Toffees, the time detectives can expect, as always, a great set, lots of fun, and countless original puzzles. No matter which mystery is currently on the agenda at Escape Quest, you can book it blind.
