Never in a million years did I think I would be reviewing a room about a cow in space… but here we are!

I’ve always enjoyed rooms with a rather ‘unique’ theme so this offering from Cabinet Mysteriis was high on my must play list. I had no idea what to expect, but being quickly launched into space (in a home-made rocket) to rescue our champion cow Daisy was our introduction to the room.

We progressed through the initial puzzles well, but the lack of space and the initial linear gameplay restricted us alittle. The game did open out to allow the team to split up, but that then led to some of the team missing some of the better results (again due to puzzle position, where only 2 or at most 3, can fit into the area when key moment occurs). But don’t let that deter you, it just needs the person who is activating the puzzle to give everyone time to crowd around, because you don’t want to miss it. It’s a super fun game with an inventive range of space and farm-themed puzzles, some of which will have you laughing lots! Just don’t go with more than 4, I’d personally recommend 2-3 people.

The narrative is simple, its a cow rescue, but it is evident throughout the game and concludes well. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the rather sassy clue system who was great at engaging with the team and kept everyone entertained.

Whilst it may not be their strongest offering at this venue, it is the most fun. They have packed the adventure with lots of humour and laughs, and is a wonderful game for newer players and families. Theres even a moment for you to act out your childhood ambitions to be a veterinarian! What other room lets you do all of that???
