Jailbreak

This is a review of the Escape Room “Jailbreak” offered by Big Break in Hamburg, Germany.

Hamburg has a pretty good level of the quality of the local Escape Games. In width, to my mind, even above Berlin. Big Break certainly contributes to this, offering three worthwhile rooms: Insomnia, Time Travel and Jailbreak. We managed the prison break, which I would classify as moderately difficult, with three experienced players in 43 minutes. Even though the scenario is written out with up to eight players, and multitasking is certainly possible at different stages of the game, I wouldn’t play it with more than 5 people. 3-4 Prisoners is a good team size. I like Jailbreak for the relatively large number of puzzles and, despite the estimated 15-20 Prison rooms already played, the one or other new idea was still there. We had a nice and friendly gamemaster who was able to tell us some anecdotes and background stories about the booked room during the briefing.
