Put on your mining hats, it’s time to search for lost treasure. Sure, our map leads us to an old mine with a warning of imminent collapse, but we’ll be in and out in under 60 minutes!
You’ll be happy to know that The Mine is decorated like a mine. We’ve got lots of timber beams, rocks, lanterns, a latter, and more, but I won’t spoil everything. The ground was perhaps flatter than expected, but of course, were it rough, I’d probably complain about tripping. While not quite reaching immersive levels, the decoration shows a good attention to room craftmanship.
There’s a curious blend of puzzles in this room. They range from thematically integrated to slightly out-of-place, but all logically flowing and fun. The three of us had plenty to do, even while working in parallel. It’s a thinking man’s puzzle room.
While we made some blunders, I think there was only one aspect we felt could be improved — with the black light, always with the black light. Oddly though, despite not finding the needed clues, I came up with a logically alternate solution that worked. Morse code is the lucky man’s answer to everything!
I enjoyed The Mine. It was a pleasant room, blending many classic puzzles into a mine theme.
