Hope End

What this venue does is brilliant. Truly breathtaking.

The set and actors are seamless. Taking you on a magical journey from your arrival, right up until you leave.

Be prepared to live the moment from the minute the door opens, to the briefing, to the intro, right through to the end. In fact at the end, I still wasn’t sure it was over.

At the start of this game, you are almost being assessed, I would say we were all earmarked to play a certain part, the clever bit here was that none of us really knew that. I smiled and laughed and felt really invested, the entire game.

There are points in this game that you are separated and then brought back together, it’s done so beautifully every time.

Set design is perfect and beautiful, the puzzles covered a massive range and every puzzle was different, varied and executed brilliantly. Puzzle mechanics were intuitive and with plenty for everyone to do. The whole game told a story and we carefully unraveled it together.

I would say puzzle vs immersive theatre was 50/50 and the balance felt perfect.

This game didn’t feel rushed and I felt like I was truly living in the moment.

I had one actor interaction that I still think about so fondly, to say I was awestruck is probably an understatement. You know that you’re living the moment when half your team turn up and ask you if you’re ok?

I’m actually not even sure if I truly ever worked out what happened. All I know is I felt there was a little bit of magic going on.

The game is just special. Just remember to live in the moment to truly experience it and give back, you get back what you give.

Once I was back in the car with my team, I took a few minutes to ponder what I had actually just witnessed. Replaying it over in my head.

This game is executed with pure joy and true brilliance. It’s a little bit of creative genius.

An absolute must play game.
