After having played Amen (twice) we had high expectations about its sequel, Metanoia. With the wrong pronunciation of this rooms name, we quickly learned that we shouldn’t pronounce the ‘o’ in the name, thus Me-ta-nja, funny little detail.

Entering this building, you can see that they have a lot of space here and it’s very well decorated. This game starts of in a big setting allowing Neverland much more opportunities to open up even more epic rooms, always excited for that! The setting is really well decorated and feels real, maybe also because of the way you meet the game host in here! Really well done and a I really think this adds something to the experience of the room itself.

Entering the room, we noticed a pretty good setting with good and scary lightning allowing some real good choreography in the lighting to happen. The music is really loud, but after some games in Athens you get used to it!

The puzzles in this room are really fun and authentic. You can see that they purposely chose for some specific authentic materials in order for the player to really emerge in the time and setting of this room. I for sure like these kind of puzzles more than padlocks or random locks everywhere.

The story of this room was really good, but luckily not too complicated in my opinion. I think this story combines really well with Amen and you should play this room after Amen because of that for sure. There’s not too much reading or so in the room, it’s pretty much clear what they want to tell you!

The gameflow and the cinematics in this room were, just like in Amen, amazing! Neverland for sure knows how to deal with cinematics and great acting/scaring. The tension is always high, but never too high for the illusion to break. The jumpscares are greatly timed and give you a great experience. Also the way they force the team to do specific tasks I really love. Some tasks are really amazing and fun to do!

Overall, Metanoia is a very good room which I would really recommend everyone to play! When you visit, make sure that you play Amen as well, because both of the rooms are amazing and complement eachother! I hope Neverland come up with some new rooms soon, but I heard they will so I will have to come back soon again.
