Mr Copplestone’s Curiosity Shoppe

This is a review of the Escape Room “Mr Copplestone’s Curiosity Shoppe” offered by Escape Quest in Macclesfield, UK.
  • ⭐️ 9.3/10
  • 🌡 Difficult
  • ⏳ 60 Minutes
  • 👥 3 – 10 Person

Escape Quest in Macclesfield was one of the first operators in the UK. Mr Copplestone’s Curriosity Shoppe is quite a unique and challenging scenario for up to 10(!) people. I would recommend three to five players.

I particularly liked the game concept where all teams, regardless of experience level, are fully engaged for the entire 60 minutes. Given the non-linear puzzle structure, this applies to every single player! Puzzle lovers will get their money’s worth here.

In addition, the ingenious set design and the great story line also appealed.

What is it about?

As “time detectives” we use Mr Copplestone’s time machine and travel back to 1873, to Chappel Street, to unravel long-forgotten secrets and solve mysteries.

The mission is considered accomplished when eight so-called Time Echo Christals are found, which are needed to supply the time machine with energy. After 60 minutes, we had unravelled 26 of these stones, which, as the very nice game host explained to us after the game, is a very good value. However, more stones would have been possible. Nevertheless, we all came out of this time travel adventure with a very satisfying feeling and are already looking forward to the ones to come.
