Mmm, jelly beans. Wait! Don’t eat them all. You need them to solve a puzzle. Who doesn’t like a room with candy dispensers? And magic! And a phoenix! If I add that this is a school, you can probably guess the theme.

This room had some nice props, but it didn’t feel complete. Each item kind of sat in the room with no connection to the others, nor consistent feeling. The furniture itself was nice, but the lack of cohesion was dissatisfying. They also forgot to turn the music on, which left a flat atmosphere.

The puzzles were fairly run-of-the-mill. One major prop was broken, and another secret compartment left unused. The wands were fickle, and we didn’t know how one box magically opened. It’s too bad, as the remaining puzzles were good.

Overall, Magic School didn’t capture the spirit of the theme. It’s a borderline room.
