The Roof

You know us, we’ll never turn down the chance to explore a haunted old house. Our confidence is shaken with our first step through the door. Something isn’t right here. This may have a been a mistake.

I was not expecting this room. Most of the horror themed rooms fail to evoke any kind of terror. But right from the first staircase, I was a bit uneasy. This is atmosphere done right. The colours, lighting, and decorations, blend nicely, all supporting the creepy feeling.

And of course the acting. A job well done. And thanks for the teddy bear.

The Roof is still an escape room, but for many it will be a horror room. Based on the screams heard throughout the day, I feel safe saying it’s scary to most people. I’ll admit to having a few of my own shock moments.

But, for the most part I could focus on the puzzles. Some of which I’ve seen before. They warned us in advance that it’d be hard for only the two of us. And it was. We needed more help than a group of three or four might. Though, several of the puzzles didn’t feel right, and were troublesome on their own, not due to our abilities. I was left a bit wanting here.

Atmosphere. It’s the reason why you should visit this room. I liked it a lot.
