Finding a lost suitcase, well that sounds simple, it should be easy… right? But as soon as we entered, we knew that finding this suitcase would be anything but simple….
The team had solved the opening “warm-up” puzzles while I was still marveling at the space we had just entered. It is a visually stunning space with lots to discover and beautifully themed puzzles that requires teamwork right from the start. I could have happily spent the whole 80 minutes just in this area, but there was more to discover and solve.

As you progress the room opens up to allow the team to work split up to work on several puzzles. While this gives everyone in the team a chance to explore and solve and interact with some wonderful items, it does make it trickier to see everything as there is a lot to do.

To keep everyone up to speed the room makes great use of video vignettes to convey the emotion of the story. These moments allowed us to regroup to watch and see the narrative advance together, as well as setting the scene for the next stage of the experience.

As an added bonus when you’ve retrieved your suitcase you can celebrate in your own private bar area, so no worries about accidentally giving other teams spoilers.
I absolutely loved the first stage of this room, for me the later stages didn’t live up to the opening area, but the emotive narrative, the overall theming, and complexity, of the puzzles throughout make this a must-play room.

I've been an escape room enthusiast since 2015, back in the days where a pigpen cipher was included in every single room. Based in Scotland I soon ran out of rooms to play and regularly travelled around the UK to get my escaping fix. I joined Heiner's extensive team during a trip to Athens, and since then we have played over 500 avatar rooms and countless "in real life" rooms together across Europe and North America.
