Abandoned by a vegan desertor looking for food, Heiner, Marco and I ventured in this industrial warehouse looking building to face evil, which comes in different shapes and sizes.

Malum is a very solid horror room, that had a nicely worked out setting, that I was not expecting beforehand. The game uses all the elements expected from a classical horror room in a nicely manner and has a few interesting mechanisms. For me one aspect that stood out was the gamemaster’s role, which definitely added to the experience and provided for a slightly different touch.

This room ended up very high in Heiner’s latest Barcelona ranked list (11) and while I did not find anything groundbreaking in it, I do consider it a very enjoyable game that desservedly mingles with the best Barcelona has to offer in term of horror games.
