The day started with a real wake-up call! At 09:30 am at the Outline factory – a new 120-minute horror escape game (Scarefactor 8 ) in Cornellà that made it to an excellent 12th place at Terpeca 2022.

But why are we actually here? An anonymous person is paying us big bucks to find out what’s going on in the abandoned Outline factories. Because the rumors about this mysterious place – there is talk of occultism and corpses walking around – put the people in the area in fear and terror. In addition, a local reporter who was trying to bring light into the darkness disappeared a few days ago.

Outline is one of those escape games that start right away, with entering the front door, without a greeting, without a briefing by a gamemaster. Payment on the spot, which should be made in cash, also happens without anyone being seen. Therefore, if possible, you should have the amount ready.

Shortly afterwards we find ourselves in an abandoned factory hall where our mission begins. At first glance, the grandiose setting makes it clear that professional decorators were at work here. Outline is large (Players can easily lose their bearings on the more than 200 square meter area), atmospheric, moodily lit and has a wonderful soundscape that is in no way artificial.

For a horror room, there is a surprising number of puzzles that make sense, are themed, and are well integrated into the overall scenario. The flow of the game was good and consistent. Outline has nice transitions, and it sometimes requires some sporting activities like climbing or crawling.

Also worth mentioning is the performance of the actors as well as their good timing. Outline is 18+, can be played in English and is for 3-8 people. I would recommend a team size of four players.
