The provider Yurmuvi has three locations in Asturias – two in Gijon where the rooms “Magic school”, “Frankenstein’s bride”, “Dracula’s escape”, “The secret of the Pharaoh” are offered, and one in Oviedo with “Assault of Nautilus” and “The portrait of Dorian”.
What was striking about both rooms we played in Gijon was the very warm welcome, and the extremely committed, almost euphoric gamemasters. We’ve been comfortable here. The instruction was professional and above all very entertaining.
The intro to the room is well done and puts the players in the right mood. The setting, in its retro-look, is impressive and very detailed. Everything in Frankenstein’s laboratory appears credible and authentic. Like most of the rooms we played in northern Spain, the difficulty of the puzzles was quite demanding. The riddles are creative and fit well into the overall picture. There are no locks! There are also some nice gimmicks to laugh at. Frankenstein’s Bride is an all-around great room. You should not play this Escape Game against the time but enjoy it. Too bad it is only 60 minutes! Recommended for 2-4 players.
