Fight your fears! is the motto of the provider “Fear of the Dark”, which offers three XXL Escape Games for shock therapy with Black Hole Edition (90 ‘), The Apocalypse (103’) and Genesis (100’).

We are not afraid of the dark! That’s why we don’t mind playing Genesis at the ghost hour. So, we enter ‪at midnight‬ without knowing exactly what to expect in the next 100 minutes. Keep calm and pray!

This game has a very intense start, which I liked a lot because it catapulted us from zero to hundred into the action. We are on our own and will successively pass through a whole series of places whose mechanical transitions are very well made. One of them is outstanding and I would say unique. Really impressive, and original mechanisms.

Of course, there are Jumpscares as well as actors (very nice acting!) in this scenario, but they are not permanently present, so that we can mostly dedicate ourselves to the numerous, easy to medium sized puzzles which are well integrated to the theme. Nevertheless, there is always a latent feeling of threat in the air that makes us look around again and again.

In some passages the communication was a little exhausting due to the volume. The game flow is good with one exception. An observational puzzle was a bit annoying and cost us a lot of time, especially as the lighting conditions made it even more difficult. But that’s the name of the game.

Cool space that was fun. You shouldn’t play it with too many people to enjoy the extraordinary dense atmosphere.
