Standard creepy hotel game with low level lighing, but the rooms are well themed and the puzzles work well with the narrative. Not sure if this was a hasty conversion to a remote room but at several points you can see puzzles, or parts of puzzles that aren’t used, which not only causes some confusion but also made you realise that this room has so much more to give.

The host was in character and the camera work was steady, but we did have occasional issues with communication as the avatar spoke so quietly (which was part of his character).

This is a bit of a love or hate game, mainly due to the last 5 minutes of the game… either you’ll think its brilliant or you’ll be sat there going “what?”?”?””. I was one of the latter…. but not with the game, and not with the ending, but just how we were left on the zoom. It was just odd.

I've been an escape room enthusiast since 2015, back in the days where a pigpen cipher was included in every single room. Based in Scotland I soon ran out of rooms to play and regularly travelled around the UK to get my escaping fix. I joined Heiner's extensive team during a trip to Athens, and since then we have played over 500 avatar rooms and countless "in real life" rooms together across Europe and North America.
