We all mad here! Puzzlescape Hudson is unfortunately permanently closed since 31 July 2020. We had the pleasure to play Wonderland Revisited before, even though this room was not originally intended for remote gaming. But what are we supposed to do if we already played all the other remote games of Puzzlescape and still want to? So we ask for more and we got it! Thanks for giving us this opportunity.
I also made a mistake in the booking (time zone math) and we were two hours early. Thanks also for being so flexible and letting us play anyway. The Alice-Game is over 90 minutes and is played via zoom. We also received a number of password protected files that we needed during the adventure. The passwords were given to us in the course of the game. The adventure is very interactive. Have fun is the motto.
There is a lot to discover in Wonderland whose secrets reveal themselves to us more and more during the game. As already mentioned, this scenario is not 100% designed for remote gaming. Not because the puzzles are not video-call-suitable, but because some passages require more than two hands. But the staff of Puzzlescape knew how to help themselves well and improvised at the necessary passages in a very original way. We had some fun.
The setting is thematic and very colorful. There are numerous fancy locks, some mechanical and physical tasks, but also some creative props. The venue is very spacious, and the number and structure of the puzzles is well suited to keep even larger groups busy in parallel for a longer time. It took us 82 minutes to rescue Alice from the clutches of the Red Queen and Pepe La Scuzz. I would have liked to play Wonderland Revisited live. You do not have to be a true Alice fan to like this room.
